The original discs had covered just over 34K miles, EDC discs and Red Stuff front pads were fitted. After driving over 500 miles, less brake dust on the wheels was really evident and it was one of the main reasons for choosing this brand of brake pad. New pad retaining clips also fitted, along with cleaning and repainting the calipers.
Remove the pad retaining spring, then remove the two caliper bolts at the rear.
Pull the old pads from the caliper and hang the caliper so not the strain the hose, then remove the two carrier bolts at the rear.
Remove the carrier from the hub, and the disc retainer allen bolt. With the disc removed the hub can then be wire brushed and the new front brake disc fitted.
Compress the piston then reassemble the carrier, caliper and brake pads.
